You,[/u]
your name,- Millie
age,- 16
years rping,- 4 or so, off and on
rping level,- To be honest I’m not entirely sure.
The Basics,
full name,- Thomas Jamison Rush
age,- Nineteen
occupation,- University student
gender,- Male
sexuality,- Straight as a ruler!
Appearance,
overall,- Tom’s looks were ever changing. In his childhood and youth he had always been a little stocky. Not overweight per say but he was a little heavy, with full cheeks and a small gut. But in his first year of University he found himself slimming out, maybe from all the hard work but it was most likely because Tom made the conscious effort to take care of himself. Now he stood at the medium-tall height of 5’11. He was tall but not in an intimidating kind of way. Although nothing about Tom was very intimidating. Even though he had lost that fair bit of weight and gotten himself in shape, Tom would laugh in your face if you dared to describe him as “muscular”. There are slightly defined biceps but no pecs or abs to speak off, and Tom’s just fine with that. Tom has a very average build, he looks healthy but not like he frequents the gym.
Another aspect to Tom’s appearance that is ever changing is his hair. Color, style, it didn’t matter it was almost always different. In the past it had been dyed to both a peroxide blonde and a very dark blonde but at the moment it was his natural color, a sandy blonde. Most days he took the effort to style it in a casual messy style but some days when he couldn’t muster the effort, he just wore it straight, his fringe usually flopping over one eye. The length changed, but even when Tom did get a haircut he didn’t like to take too much off, right now it was just above his ears.
But some things were always the same. Like Tom’s eyes. If asked he’d probably respond that those were his best features. They were big and at first glance dark brown, but he did have some hazel strands in there and when you got really close you could see little flecks of green and gold. Tom’s eyes almost seemed to exude warmth. They crinkled cutely when he smiled. This brings us to his smile. Tom didn’t have perfect teeth, the front ones were straight but his eye teeth had always been a little crooked. Perhaps Tom’s most distinguishing feature was a dimple that would appear on his left cheek whenever he smiled. And he only had one, something that had always bugged him.
Recently Tom had been prescribed glasses, which he only wore when he was reading or went to classes. The frames were simply black and they were quite thick. When Tom wore them, they usually gave off some kind of brainiac impression, which is why Tom didn’t favor them too much.
Tom has two tattoos. One was a navy blue five pointed star on his chest directly below his collarbone. His other was a group tattoo he had gotten done with a bunch of his friends. He simply that the word “big” tattooed on the bottom of his foot, for “big foot”, get it?
clothing style,- Tom’s clothing style could be described as ‘very relaxed’. His wardrobe consisted mainly of snug t-shirts which he had to buy after the “Fat Tom” years and faded out blue jeans, some with the knees torn out. He wore his jeans low on his waist, but not so much that you could see his entire bottom (Which was quite nicely shaped by the way) just a strip of his boxers. Some days when he was in a fancier mood, he might wear a nice pair of cords and a pullover sweater or one of his favorite ensembles, a short sleeved button up shirt with some sort of punchy tie.
As far as shoes go, Tom has a favorite pair of trainers, which are ancient and mucky but they feet his feet amazingly. He has a few pairs of converse which he likes but he usually sticks with those trainers. The blonde is also a fan of knit caps, even if it’s not too chilly out, which is usually the way it is in San Francisco. And as far as accessories go, Tom is also a fan of aviator sunglasses, and it’s not uncommon you’ll see him sporting a pair on sunny days.
picture,-
Personality,
personality,- Tom truly is a sweetheart. Not many boys today are labeled as that but it was true. He usually gives off the impression of being rather quiet but he’s really not. He’s just not an in your face kind of guy and isn’t just going to march straight up to someone and start a conversation. But he is very friendly, and with a little time quite open as well. But there are some words that close friends would use to describe Tom. Passionate, loyal, funny and talented would be a few of them.
Passionate: Everything Tom does, he likes to do it with passion. He was never the kind of person to try something and then give up ten minutes later. When he tries something, he puts all of himself into it. While the boy is usually sweet and friendly, it’s generally a good idea to give him some space while he’s writing music, as he gets temperamental about the tiniest things, like a word that seems out of place or a guitar chord that doesn’t fit the way he wants it to. Tom Rush is usually a pretty easy-going guy who doesn’t sweat the small stuff, music is the only thing that truly makes him go insanely detail-oriented.
Loyal: Before Tom moved to California most of his best mates were people he had known since he was five, so what does that say about how loyal Tom is? It’s just like anything else, if Tom commits to being a friend of more than a friend or whatever; he’s going to be d**n good at it. Tom stays in bad friendships or relationships longer than he knows he should but only because he feels bad about letting them down. Tom’s almost a little too loyal, and sometimes lets his sweet nature border on being a doormat, but with that being said he usually knows when to stick up for himself.
Funny: Once people hear he’s a musician they usually think Tom’s a pretty serious guy. That’s not exactly true, sure he takes some things in life seriously but for the most part he’s an extremely fun-loving guy. He can usually be found cracking little jokes to defuse awkward situations to break the ice. He usually makes a lot of jokes when he’s nervous, it’s just a bad habit. One of Tom’s favorite past-times is playing practical jokes. They aren’t too mean-spirited. In fact his targets are usually his best friends. So if Tom pulls a prank on you, you can usually tell that he considers you as a close-friend if he suspects you won’t get terribly cross at him.
Talented: Tom had been playing guitar since he was seven years old, and singing since he was thirteen. So obviously music had become a huge part of his life. He’s met a lot of people through the music scene since he’s been here and people are generally impressed with his voice and the lyrics he writes, when he does do some solo stuff.

History,

detailed,- Hank Rush was to put it nicely was pretty rubbish at biology, in fact he could never remember why he took that course anyhow seeing as he was majoring in business. One day, after class was over, he just sat in his seat as everyone was packing up trying to process what the Professor had been talking about. The quiet, pretty blonde who went by Catherine and sat in the row behind him, slid into the seat next to him. She fixed him with her bright blue eyes and asked him if he needed any help. Within a week and a few tutoring sessions they were madly in love. Hank was talkative and outgoing while Catherine was much more easy-going and quiet but together they worked well. And on the night they graduated Hank proposed to his girlfriend of a year and a half.
Two years had passed and they were doing quite well, the first few months of their marriage had been rocky. Hank took an ambitious job at an advertising agency and was gone a lot of the time, which was a problem with Catherine. But they worked it out, after a few arguments. Two years had passed when Catherine found out she was pregnant. She had a relatively easy pregnancy, but during the last few months of her pregnancy things intensified. She went into false labor a few times, once when Hank was at work which was terrifying to her. It was a humid July night when the time finally came. Catherine spent a grueling 22 hours in labor before they were rewarded with a big baby boy, with his mother’s blonde fuzz and the dark blue eyes that all babies start off with. They named him Tom after Catherine’s father who had passed away when she was a teenager.
Tom was a pretty happy baby, he had an infectious giggle when he got a big older and tufts of blonde hair and when his eyes changed color, enormous big brown eyes. When his sister was born just shortly after his first birthday Tom was elated. Well as elated as a one year old can be. But in all seriousness growing up Tom and Allie were always very close. Allie was always a delicate little thing and Even though Tom wasn’t necessarily the biggest kid on the playground he was always extremely protective of Allie. Sure they had their scuffles like all brothers and sisters did but Tom never felt ashamed about calling his little sister his best friend.
Tom had a pretty happy childhood. He had a group of friends he hung out with, parents and a sister who loved him. And he was always a joyful child, always trapping spiders and releasing them back outdoors or drawing pictures that his mother would display proudly on the refrigerator. His best Christmas ever was when he was seven years old and received his first guitar which he had been begging his parent’s for, for the last six months. Tom immersed himself in music quickly, but it was just a hobby then.
When he was twelve years old, his parents made the decision to move from Cambridge to London so that Tom’s dad could take a promotion in his advertising agency. London took some definite adjusting too. And Tom was teased at school for being a little overweight. But he was a resilient guy, and just let the negative remarks roll over his shoulders but he also adjusted quite quickly and found a group of people that he really liked and together they formed Tom’s first ever band.
Everything was going well in the Rush household, his father had just been given another promotion but the only thing was that he was working much longer hours, or so that’s what Catherine, Tom and Allie thought. When Tom was fifteen he was finishing an essay on his father’s computer. When he was searching for the file he came across a series of dirty e-mails that had been saved to his father’s computer, corresponding from Hank to Janice Hogan, his father’s boss who the Rush family had met on more than one occasion. Tom was stunned. He had no idea what to do. Should he tell his mother? He opted against that, maybe it was just a joke. But as he read the e-mails again, that looked unlikely. So Tom went to the only person he thought he could trust, looking back on that now, he knew it was a horrible idea. Allie had always been a sensitive girl and when Tom called her in, once she read half an e-mail she burst into tears. No matter what Tom did, hugging her, telling her everything was going to be okay, trying to make her laugh, nothing worked. And by the time Catherine got home from work, Allie was beyond hysterical, in bed with the covers pulled over her head, while Tom was trying to offer her soothing words through the door.
Once Tom showed Catherine the e-mails, she nodded once, her expression stony. She went upstairs talked with Allie and came down and went quietly to her room. Tom felt unbearably guilty. Not only had he turned his sister into a mess but he could see how crushed his mum was despite her brave face. When his father crept through the front door at one o’clock in the morning, Tom was waiting for him. Tom was known for his calm easy-going nature but at that moment he felt absolutely furious and before his father could get a word out Tom punched him in the face. This lead to a shouting match between the two Rush men as the women, lurked quietly by the stairs, Catherine was crying but Allie was anything but.
In the middle of their shouting match Catherine brought down three suitcases, all belonging to Hank and placed them by the door and in a quiet voice told him to leave. The next few months were hard on all of them. Allie and Catherine grew closer, but Tom just felt like an outsider. He loved his mother and his sister dearly and he knew that they felt the same but he couldn’t help but feel like this was all of his fault. Even though Allie and Catherine were close, Tom saw his little sister sliding into a depression. And that just made him feel even more helpless then he already did.
On one particularly weak night when Allie wouldn’t come out of her bedroom to eat, Tom ended up storming out of the house. It was just too much. He went to his best friend’s house hoping that he’d be there and he could just escape for a few hours. He wasn’t there but his older sister was. Tom has always been ashamed about how he lost his virginity. It wasn’t the way he wanted to be. Which sounds girly, but f**king someone you barely knew on the living room floor takes the magic away, even for boys.
Tom’s only saving grace during the two years after his parent’s separated was music. His childhood hobby was his life preserver during the divorce. Some times nothing made sense except Music. Tom really got into songwriting at that point in time. It was an easy way for him to express himself.
Catherine made the decision once the divorce was final to move to America. Her younger sister Kristen lived in San Francisco and it was on opportunity to start fresh. Tom and Allie were welcome to the change. London just wasn’t working anymore and they were willing to do whatever it took to escape. Even if it meant moving to an entirely different country. Tom finished his last year of high school in America and when it was time to go to University he decided upon the University right in San Francisco so he could be close to his family. Even though he decided to live in residence because his Aunt Kris’ house had gotten a little crowded.
Naturally Tom made the decision to major in music, which over the past few years had truly become his passion and it was what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. His first year of university was stressful, and Tom felt the extra weight he had carried around with him forever dropping off. It felt good, it felt feeing. It felt like Tom was finally ready to start over. And now as he was in his second year of University he finally felt like it was his time.
